Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 portions unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla essence
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Setting the oven to 350°F (175°C) is the first step.
  • Before starting, line your 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper to ensure an easy cleanup.
  • In a substantial mixing bowl, thoroughly blend the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • The mixture should then be thoroughly mixed after the addition of the eggs and vanilla extract.
  • In a different mixing bowl, stir together the flour, salt, and baking soda to create a blend.
  • Mix the flour mixture into the butter mixture in a slow, deliberate way until it's completely combined.
  • Last but not least, delicately blend in the chocolate chips, distribute the mixture uniformly in the ready pan, and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick is removed without any batter on it.
  • Upon finishing the bars, allow a 10-minute cool-down period before proceeding to slice and offer them as a treat.
